We worked with FortisBC to assess innovative combination space/water heating technologies as potential natural gas DSM measures. By developing an understanding of the BC market and its actors, the conservation potential within various market segments and DSM programs in leading North American jurisdictions, we helped FortisBC determine which technology groups to include in its program development pipeline that would make future initiatives more effective.
We helped SaskPower understand the opportunity for advanced refrigeration controls. Based on our technical, financial and barriers analysis, Posterity Group also worked with SaskPower on a pilot study to establish a Measurement & Verification protocol and to develop material to promote uptake of future program offerings to reach untapped market segments.
We worked with Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) to improve their understanding of baseline lighting and space cooling energy use profiles for new commercial construction. This in turn helped the IESO refine its commercial new construction programs to increase uptake and make them easier to access.
We assisted the Office of Energy Efficiency’s Buildings and Industry Division in conducting a needs assessment for provinces and territories in order to develop a model national framework for energy labelling and disclosure for commercial/institutional buildings as per the Pan Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change.
